- Work on the project is progressing with minimal delays.
- Project is continuing to place curb and gutter, inlets, pipe and sidewalk as the primary items of focus.
- Work is being performed in preparation for paving to begin on Monday Night 10/13/2025.
- Paving will be performed from Cross Lanes Drive Intersection (WV 62) along Big Tyler Road (WV 622) to Kroger intersection.
- Work is continuing at Gatewater Road and City National Bank intersection.
SUMMARY OF TEMPORARY TRAFFIC CONTROL:
- No change in traffic pattern currently.
- Traveling public is asked to travel at Work Zone Speed Limit of 25 MPH while traveling through area.
- Flaggers will be utilized on Night Shift beginning 10/13/2025 for paving operations.
- There is no designated turn lane or center lane on Big Tyler Road from intersection of WV 62 & WV 622. Traffic is asked to use caution and be prepared to stop during construction and to allow for turning traffic.
- During this phase barriers were removed to allow for additional turning radiuses in and exiting area businesses.
- Access to area residents being maintained during closures, this will be performed on as add needed basis to complete current phases.
- Caution should be taken when exiting and entering driveways and area businesses.
- Traffic is also asked to pay special attention to flaggers during night shift operations.
- Traffic is asked to not block intersections and entrances when possible.
Sidewalks in current construction area have been removed and barricades in place to provide safety for pedestrians
